MRS. ADAM FUNK
The funeral service for Mrs. Adam Funk was held in the First Methodist
Church, Tuesday, July 19, 1949. Rev. A. L. Paxson conducted the service,
Mrs. Mildred Yager played the organ and Wollard Bass sang two sol9os.
Margh Susie (Harston) Funk was born September 17, 1883, in Scottsville,
Kentucky. She passed from this life July 16, 1949, at her home in
Farmington, N. M.
Mrs. Funk moved to Farmington in 1921 and became active in church, civic,
and political circles in this community. In these varied activities she
acquired many warm personal friends. One of these was Adam Funk with whom
she was united in marriage in 1943. She was a member of the Baptist
church for several years, but at the time of her death was an active and
beloved member of the First Methodist church of Farmington. She
maintained always in all her activities, both church and otherwise, an
effective Christian witness in her life and character.
Besides a great host of friends she is survived by her husband, Adam
Funk; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Mothershed; Mrs. Alice Stubbs, and Mrs.
Pearl Keller, residing respectively in Fort Worth and Grand Prairie, Tex.
and Clayton, N. M.; four brothers, C.B., R. B., J. W., and Philip Harston
who reside in Oklahoma, N. M., Texas, and Wyoming, respectively; four
children, Mrs. John Davis of Bountiful, Utah, Mrs. Wright M. Price of
Ontario, Calif., Harston Ellsberry of Los Angeles, and Jack Masterson of
Albuquerque, M. M.; and by five grandchildren.
